Travel Curators

Curation & access

Experiences you won't find at the click of a mouse

It's never just about securing seats at Michelin-starred restaurants. It's about experiences that border on magical — and the people you meet who make them possible.

Curating special experiences

Seasoned travellers appreciate not having to build complex, multi-faceted itineraries — but the value of a bespoke journey goes far beyond that. We bypass the traditional tourist infrastructure for local secrets known only to a few. Not content to take that advice at face value, we go out — by plane, car, train and on foot — to meet favoured proprietors, test every manner of stay, table and activity, and often stumble on something better along the way.

The friendships we’ve built over many years open doors to the world’s most sought-after places at short notice, and to encounters that are otherwise inaccessible. Anyone with time and connections can assemble an itinerary; the level of curation we pride ourselves on takes a different dimension of insight, tenacity and passion.

Japan

In Japan

  • Pre-dawn access to the city's wholesale fish market with an award-winning sushi chef, followed by a private hands-on lunch at his counter.
  • Hours in the workshop of a living master — lacquer, blade, indigo or gold-leaf — buying directly from the hands that made the piece.
  • A private geiko evening in an old quarter: shamisen, dance and conversation over a quiet kaiseki dinner.
  • Tracking brown bears in the far north; harvesting, when the season turns, cherries from an orchard once reserved for royalty.

Singapore

In Singapore

  • A city read from the inside — its gardens, architecture and heritage shophouses, guided by the people who shaped them.
  • Michelin-starred tables to bookend the trip, and a hawker dinner that tells the real story of the city's food.
  • A private yacht along the southern coast and islands, with lunch on board and the skyline at dusk.
  • By-introduction access to founders and leaders for those whose interest runs to enterprise and legacy.

China

In China

  • The classical scholar-gardens and canal water towns of the Jiangnan, well ahead of the crowds.
  • A small-vessel passage through the Yangtze gorges, and the dynastic heart of the ancient capital.
  • Time with a panda conservation team, and quiet mornings of tea in a centuries-old teahouse.
  • Considered, expertly guided journeys through landscape, history and a fast-moving present.

Let us design something only yours

We take on a limited number of journeys each year. If yours is one of them, it begins with a conversation — read by a Curator, and answered personally.
